Keep two draft versions with clear labels

Distinguish exploratory writing from a possible message so you do not accidentally share the wrong version.

Try this

  1. Label versions by purpose, such as private thoughts and possible message, instead of relying only on numbered filenames.
  2. Before copying text into a conversation, read the whole selected version and check attachments or quoted material.

A worked example

“Private thoughts stays in my notebook. Possible message contains only the request I am considering sharing.”

An invented example to adapt, not a real exchange or a script you have to follow.

Before you leave it here

A later version is not automatically the one you want to send. Keep the send decision separate from which file was edited most recently.

This is a voluntary planning exercise. Keep your notes private, adapt the language, and leave any question unanswered. It does not require Ourling or a purchase.

Ourling’s library uses AI-assisted original writing. These are practical exercises, not clinical advice or promises about relationship outcomes. Suggest a correction or a missing situation.
