Write down a shared agreement accurately

Record the agreement both people recognized, keeping proposals and interpretations out of the final summary.

Try this

  1. Include the action, who will do it, and any agreed timing. Ask for a correction if the summary is being shared.
  2. Label unresolved options as open rather than choosing one silently in the note.

A worked example

“Agreed: I will book dinner after you confirm the time on Thursday. Still open: which restaurant.”

An invented example to adapt, not a real exchange or a script you have to follow.

Before you leave it here

Do not use a written summary to create consent after the fact. If the other person disputes the wording, clarify the agreement before acting on it.

This is a voluntary planning exercise. Keep your notes private, adapt the language, and leave any question unanswered. It does not require Ourling or a purchase.

Ourling’s library uses AI-assisted original writing. These are practical exercises, not clinical advice or promises about relationship outcomes. Suggest a correction or a missing situation.
