Prepare a message about an unfinished task

Write a task-status question that distinguishes a request for information from a new assignment or deadline.

Try this

  1. Name the task and the last accepted timing. Ask whether it remains accepted, is complete, or needs a new owner; do not combine all three possibilities into “is everything handled?”
  2. State the decision that depends on the answer and your own fallback if needed. Keep a new deadline clearly proposed rather than presenting it as previously agreed.

A worked example

Unclear: “Can you sort the reservation?” Clearer: “You offered to book yesterday. Is it confirmed, or do we need to choose another plan? I need to arrange transport by five.”

An invented example to adapt, not a real exchange or a script you have to follow.

Before you leave it here

A sent question is not a handoff. Record a new owner or completion only after the relevant person confirms the actual state.

This is a voluntary planning exercise. Keep your notes private, adapt the language, and leave any question unanswered. It does not require Ourling or a purchase.
